Record collector from the age of 13, uncle mo's musical outlook draws influence from time spent living in Malawi, and the UK rave scene, where he spent his formative years as a DJ.
In recent years, uncle mo has hosted the Monday breakfast show on Rinse FM and run East London event Take Flight; an all-vinyl journey through afro-leaning disco sounds.
Since 2008, under different aliases, he's shared stages with the likes of Gilles Peterson, DJ Marky, Maribou State and Yazmin Lacey – with his DJ sets earning praise from artists such as Loefah and Jamie xx.
uncle mo's vibe-lifting sets traverse tempos, eras, continents and styles – but two things remain front and centre: soul, and dance.
